The Time Machine

Defenders of the Faith

Around the embers spark as my room grew dark, I told them
Such a pregnant mind would reveal what I had found
Fourth dimension is time
And my new machine shall travel aeons bound

And so I embarked on this journey
Watching my home disappear

Ventured on some hundered thousand years
Til it all seemed unreal

The time machine, my golden dream
Sent out to be embracing the void
In my time machine I could not feel
The stellar sea, nor could I behold streams behind

My time machine
My time, time machine

Then once I stepped outside
While viewing the ruins of London
Such amazing world with Elois like you I would find

With my creation gone missing
Locked from inside was a sphinx

Morlocks came surfacing at night
Born in the realm of the deep

My time machine appeared beneath
An industry controlling your kind
By my time machine, with urge to feed
Humanity diverged into two, still alive

When I saw your face
It was about to drown
And as I pulled you out
Two hearts would then become one with the Sun

This you must bring with you now
Our love travels beyond

As this forest came to burn
The Morlocks won’t return
How I wish you could be saved
Another time and day

Letting go off hands, but never leaving eyes
A certain part of fate uniting you and I
Oh Weena, close your shining stars and know
I’ll bring their gleaming soul to meet this world and watch it fall

Running on empty to science unfold
Countless of lifetimes shall pass the unknown
Once it’s all over I’ll go back to show
There is no place to call home

Then I will travel to venture once more
Two different flowers my pocket shall hold
Both to remind me infinity grows
Yet without you cannot glow

My time machine, my golden dream
Sent out to be embracing the void
In my time machine I cannot feel
The stellar sea, nor can I behold streams behind
