Little man in a big world
The land so large and problems so small
Little ears trusting in every word they hear
Some day he’ll work the factory
And grow to be six feet tall
His mother will always see him in his toddler years
He believes in what he sees
And he says what he means
If only everything were exactly like it appeared
Sometimes the outcasts look like trouble
And the enemies look like friends
Oh, it takes a little living to know just where you stand
Little boy with big opinions
One size too small for his adult britches
Thinking he’s got life figured out
All the problems and solutions
Someday, oh someday, he’ll learn to love a woman
And he’ll tell his little man, gosh, women are hard to understand
Oh, he packed his bags (packed his bags)
To catch his train (catch his train)
To find his own way
No one could tell him to stay
It’ll take many times
To realize he still needs advice
And the wisdom of the wise that have gone before
Sometimes the good things and the bad
Are lost in the expectations we have
And it takes a little living to know what really lasts

Politics say?
It seems like you have to earn your happiness
Young man on his white horse
Falling to his hearty corpse
He’s not as invincible as he thought he might be
Oh, he stood and he fell
Good times like heaven and times like hell
Tightening his voice toward the voiceless sky
If there really were higher meaning
Then why do good men die
And the wolves with bad intentions get away with their lives?
Sometimes the good guys and villains
Are dressed in grey opinions
And it leaves us to question where the hero stands
