It's Friday night
And the football game starts around 7:30
I shower up and put on my boots
Even though they're a little dirty
Pick up my baby at around 6:10
For a little pre-game fun
Buzzer sounds at the end of 4th quarter
And away we run
Chorus:
To that spot down by the river
Where worries ain't go no place to hang around
There'll be skinny dippin' & moon shine sippin'
And everybody's partying
Down at that spot down by the river
It's Sunday morning
And we just left church
And we're looking for something to do
I said, "I heard those bass were runnin'"
Let's see if it's true
Me and Nate grab a couple of poles
And we call up the girls on the phone
Said get up out of that Sunday dress
Your mama won't know you're gone
Chorus:
To that spot down by the river
Where worries ain't got no place to hang around
There'll be skinny dippin, and moon shine sippin'
And everybody's partying
Down at that spot down by the river
Well there's true love growin' straight off the vine
And a brand new bottle of sweet red wine
Try real hard for maybe just one kiss
Chorus:
At that spot down by the river
Where worries ain't got no place to hang around
There'll be skinny dippin, and moon shine sippin
And everybody's partying
Down at that spot down by the river
At that spot down by the river
Down by the river
