I know the weight of the water
I sway beneath the turning tides
Above the shimmering surface
I can see the world outside
And I heard something about it
A city of light where the children run
And though I started to doubt it
I think I saw a glimpse in the golden Sun
'Cause even when it feels like a bitter end
I know there'll be a brighter day
And even when the darkness is closing in
I know You're gonna make a way
Let go of all that went before
I take hold of what You have in store, 'cause
Even when it feels like a bitter end
I know there'll be a brighter day
I know there'll be a brighter day
I heard the sound of the water
Roaring like an endless tide
I feel You're calling me higher
I never knew a voice so kind
But I'm still learning to trust You
To reach for Your hand when I cannot see
No matter where I run away to
You're always as close as the air I breathe
'Cause even when it feels like a bitter end
I know there'll be a brighter day
And even when the darkness is closing in
I know You're gonna make a way
Let go of all that went before
I take hold of what You have in store, 'cause
Even when it feels like a bitter end
I know there'll be a brighter day
I know there'll be a brighter day
