That casual affairs and a laugh is enough

But there's another side of me that you should know

That's one side of me that gets heard above the noise

When you let me walk home in the dark all the way
I hate to be merely a meek
In fear that i won't get taken seriously

Well it's not real what you see
That's just the man in me
I might be wild and i drink
And i'm tough and strong i think
And i don't wear heels
Doesn't mean that i don't feel
I might not try to be naive
'cos doesn't vulnerable mean weak
And doesn't weak mean independence has to go?
I might be hard, i play to win
That doesn't mean i won't give in
But there's another side of me that you should know
I see you're confused i can tell
The look in your eyes says you don't know me so well
