The bird swims against the tide
And runs through grey clouds
A hundred nights go by
The bird takes my writing to reach you
All the nights you're waiting in the window
Back away and let go
The bird beats its hurt wings
And swims against the tide
And runs through grey clouds
A hundred nights go by
The bird takes my writing to reach you
December come
