The 22nd of January 2022
That was the first time I laid eyes on you
Although we did not speak
For nearly a whole year
Our eyes connect between the reps and suddenly
Suddenly I feel so exposed
But we have met before
Now we're in a beam of light
The whole world spins away
Weightless in outer space, it's just you and I
But we come crashing down to Earth
You won't give me your number
We get trapped in this strange loop
Throughout the year
When I reach across to you
You smile but pull away
We have met before
But I don't recall your name
You are every kind-eyed man
That I cannot make stay
So if I won't have you for long
How's about we seize the day?
I'm not going to pretend
That I'm some kind of Saint
But I will give you my everything
It's up to you what you do with it
So if I won't have you for long
I think it's best we seize the day
I wonder what I'll have learnt
By the time you walk away
Will the lightness that you bring
Make my lonesome blues fade away
So if I won't have you for long
It's time to seize the day
What do you say?
So it begins
